About WeatherPeek
“A clearer view of your day.” WeatherPeek was founded to strip away the noise, aggressive video pop-ups, and sensationalized doom-mongering that clutter modern weather media. We deliver clean, fast, and scientifically transparent weather intelligence for your daily life.
What Makes WeatherPeek Different
Most modern commercial weather sites bury the forecast beneath layers of unskippable video ads, clickbait headlines, and battery-draining tracking scripts. At WeatherPeek, we believe knowing whether you need an umbrella should take five seconds, not forty.
Clarity Over Clickbait
Direct metrics: temperature, feels-like, wind gusts, humidity, pressure, and rain chance presented cleanly.
Zero Covert Tracking
Preferences like Celsius/Fahrenheit and saved favorite cities stay in your device's localStorage. We do not sell your location.
Our Data Architecture & Sources
WeatherPeek is an independent digital publication and engineering platform. We do not maintain proprietary satellites or an in-house fleet of radar stations. Instead, our systems integrate with Open-Meteo, which ingests raw, high-resolution numerical weather prediction (NWP) model outputs from national meteorological authorities:
- ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) – Integrated Forecasting System (IFS).
- NOAA / NWS (United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) – GFS and HRRR models.
- DWD (Deutscher Wetterdienst) – ICON global and European regional models.
- CAMS & EPA AirNow – Atmospheric composition and particulate matter indices.
Affiliation & Legal Transparency
WeatherPeek is entirely independent. We have no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement from The Weather Channel, IBM The Weather Company, AccuWeather, or any government agency. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Weather models are mathematical approximations of a chaotic atmosphere. For life-safety decisions during severe weather emergencies (tornadoes, hurricanes, severe flash flooding), always defer immediately to your local national weather service or emergency management agency.
